Calling all authors and readers! The Liberty States Fiction Writers Conference, March 30-31 in Iselin, NJ not only has a writers track with lots of great workshops and speakers, it also has a reader track! And, a book fair open to the public where authors (like me!) will be signing books. I will also be presenting a workshop: Goodreads for Authors—what every author should be doing on Goodreads. With over 65 million members, Goodreads must be part of every authors marketing efforts.

Did you know that February is National Pie Month? To mark this important occasion 🙂 I’ll be at The Book House in Millburn, NJ to talk about pies in literature and their many symbolic uses in books. I’ll also be reading from THE MEMORY BOX (from the pie scene, of course!). The Farm & Fork Society will also be there running a pie contest! So grab your favorite recipe or get inspired by a pie from a favorite book and bake away! Bring your pie to the Pies In Literature event where it will be judged by local dignitaries—there’ll be prizes! Hope to see you there!

I’m so honored to be the special guest speaker at the Connie Dwyer Breast Center’s Spring Luncheon celebrating the Center’s 10 year anniversary. The Connie Dwyer Breast Center is located at St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark. It was founded by the vision and generosity of Connie Dwyer, a breast cancer survivor, with the mission to provide advanced breast care — from screening and diagnosis to treatment and follow-up — to all women in and around Newark, regardless of their financial status or ability to pay.
The Spring Luncheon will be held at the Park Savoy in Florham Park, NJ. Ticket’s are $125. Proceeds raised will support the ongoing mission of this state-of-the-art facility.
